Interview with T. Hulan, actor of the State Academic Drama Theater. – T. Hulan came back to the Drama Theater. How did it feel to go back? Was it as you expected, or was it completely different? – No matter how used to the place, there was a new feeling. Our elders have retired. Eight years ago, I was working mostly among my elders. In 2014, it has been eight years since he left the theater. He also worked in the theater for exactly eight years. New young artists are working now. The general director and the theater administration made an offer to us in order to attract middle-aged people to the theater. As for me, I wanted to work in the theater, but I missed the theater because it had been a while since I had been working individually and with my family. That is why this proposal was accepted.
– Now that you have come to the theater, people will be interested in what kind of role you will play? In March and April, when new plays are staged, it is announced whether or not they will be included in the new production. For the youth of the theater studio, N. Naranbaatar is updating the play “In a new house” by director D. Namda. Will participate in it. People are asking in different ways, “Would you like to play in such and such a play?” – Your husband, director D. Galbayar, is said to be working on a historical work. Will you be a queen? – Worked on the script of a historical film. Other than that, it’s not like the movie is going to be made. People speculate that “T. Hulan will enter” to create new art. As for me, I am an actor who works in other directors’ works, so I proudly say, “I am not only an actor who works in my husband’s works.”

When I went to raise funds for the show, I realized that raising money is not an easy task. In addition to the idea, a lot depends on investment in the creation of art. My mother lived and worked in America for many years. My younger brother and I grew up with our grandparents. And I wanted to have a place for my mother when she came. At that time, my mother did not come from America, so it was clear that I would not live alone in that apartment. My husband also entered his new apartment saying, “Let’s both go in here until my mother comes.” Some people say that I sat with a rich man. There was no such thing. When moving into a new apartment, they even take lampshades and curtain holders. Everything was new. Worked on the script of a historical film. You start to understand life only after giving birth to your second child. That’s what I thought. In the first birth, it is still surprising. When you give birth to your second son, you become a mother and know how to raise a child and make him a person.
– It is not easy to deal with modern children. It seems that our generation were obedient children. I think I should obey my mother and grandmother. But today’s children are almost hesitant to give wrong advice, aren’t they? – I don’t like to limit my children’s freedom. If the child feels wrong about what he wants or what he is doing, he judges himself more. I wonder why I feel wrong. I think about how old I am, how old this child is, what time it is now. We cannot insist that it was like this in our time and must be like this now. He talks about the wrong things. -Watches some episodes of “Halamtsuu Chat” Later, I was curious about what women say when they care. Most wives don’t like it when a stingy woman hugs your husband.
But how do you take all this? – Unless there is a really serious reason, I will not be suspicious of such things. Our people are not even black. – How many rounds will you last if you are a participant in “Halamtsuu Chat”? – I don’t drink alcohol. Easy to clean. So, I don’t think I will get into such a program. What kind of character did you play in this movie, and what do you think about the love of in-laws in real life? -Dooyo plays the role of brother-in-law in that play. I myself am acting as a stepmother in that work. I thought that such a mother-in-law was rare. Our generation may become a beautiful mother-in-law. My parents’ generation learned to demand responsibility from their children. They make more demands on their son-in-law and daughter-in-law than on their children. That work showed the need to live with the understanding of the bride and groom.
In addition to mother-in-law’s love, the film also shows step-mother’s love. I thought I would be a loving mother to my daughters-in-law. – Your husband looks like a smiling man. Even at home, such a narcissistic husband? – No, sir. Life and screen are completely different. Our person is not as funny in real life as he is on Facebook. I like to be stable. Our man is always at home. It’s one thing to be with your friends, it’s another thing to be with your family. People imagine that Hulan is always smiling at home, how can this life go on if I sit and laugh? – I almost cried after hearing the poem “Tsetsgen Erhi” that you read for your grandmother on Facebook. Children raised by grandmothers are also different, aren’t they?- I am a child raised by my poor mother. The first nephew.
After giving birth, my mother was unwell. I understood my mother by feeling that she was not a mother to her first child. My grandmother will be my mother. That’s why he loved his mother very much. I miss him a lot after his passing. There are great role models. She was my poor mother.
